While Georgia's low temperatures this Winter were nowhere close to what many northern cities experienced we still had a few days that reminded me what it feels like when the cold goes straight through to your bones. It's easy to romanticize Winter when you live in a warm climate, but sometimes I wish I could see iced over ponds, impassable roads and deep snow drifts.
This photo was taken at Mt. Rainier National Park during an '08 trip to Washington. It was such a beautiful place that I hope to return and visit the rest of my "must see" list in the Pacific Northwest.
